Michael Bennett, Director of

A
three-time Emmy Award winner, Michael Bennett is a broadcast news professional
with over two decade’s primetime news coverage and production experience.
Michael majored in film directing at Howard University and began his career
as a staff cameraman for CNN in Washington, D.C. covering the White House,
State Department, and Capital Hill.
Michael excels and thrives in the high pressure, deadline driven news
business and enjoys working with producers and reporters to provide superior
quality video and live news. Michael is recognized and known on a first
name basis by many notable local personalities including Boston Mayor
Tom Menino, New England Patriot owner Bob Kraft, WBZ Radio host Dan Rea,
sportscast legend Bob Lobell and countless other noteworthy people who
welcome being interviewed when they see Michael coming with a camera.
Michael has mastered live, fast-paced television, traveled with remote
edit suites, and handled microwave and satellite transmissions on a daily
basis. In addition to daily news, he has shot public service announcements,
legal video depositions, documentaries, weddings and entertainment features
ranging from James Brown to Willie Nelson. Michael Bennett is also known
as one of New England’s best sports videographers. He has shot well
over 160 pro football games and three SuperBowls running the length of
the field to capture one of a kind footage.
Michael’s diverse years of experience gives him with an unparalleled
advantage in producing corporate, music, and high quality features for
interviews, conferences and media productions. Michael quickly and instinctively
calculates all details for a shoot. He makes sure he has the best location
and vantage point, sets the scene for optimal lighting and ensures all
factors in each frame of the video are relevant and enhance the shoot.
His attention to detail and creativity combined with his sense of humor
engages and relaxes subjects often leading to “getting it right”
on the first shot, leaving less work in the edit suite.
